Michael Sypsomos is an author, Project Coach and the founder of The Mentor Group International. As Project Coach, he is internationally recognized for creating project excellence for his clients throughout his forty years career. Michael has served as an executive and project coach for major international companies including Chevron, Unocal, CITGO, PTTEP and Total, helping them to achieve iconic project success through customized PMOs (Project Management Offices) and award-winning megaprojects.
Among his most gratifying accomplishments, the one closest to his heart is coaching the project that was awarded the prestigious 2003 PMI (Project Management Institute) International Project of the Year Award runner-up, for the Unocal Thailand, North Pailin Gas Development project, (second only to the 2002 Winter Olympics in Utah).
Michael is the co-founder and past president of the Thailand PMI (Project Management Institute) Chapter, and has been a passionate supporter of the advancement of the profession worldwide. He is a lecturer at prominent universities, and an international speaker, sharing his story in events all over the world.
Michael now dedicates his time working with Project Owners who are overwhelmed with underperforming projects that drain their budgets and energy, to turn the projects and their companies into profitable successes.
Michael currently lives in Thailand with his family.
